Teriyaki Chicken Rice
(from the kitchen of Wolverina, Fountain Valley, CA)Ingredients:
Jasmine Rice
The BEST Teriaki Sauce
Black Pepper
Grilled or Oven Broiled Chicken
Olive Oil (opt.)
Instructions:
Cook Chicken according to prefrence. For a quick fix we use the Tyson Grilled Chicken (precooked) and warm that in a skillet with a touch of olive oil and the BEST Teriaki sauce. Or, BBQ the chicken and cut in pieces and mix in sauce. Or cook the chicken in a glass pan in the oven and brush the teriaki sauce over both sides of chicken.
While chicken is cooking, steam 2 cups of Jasmine Rice. (more or less depending on your servings) Rinse the Jasmine rice to remove some of the starch. Add a little bit of Olive Oil in the bottom of the steamer to prevent the rice from sticking. Cook.
Mix chicken and rice together, add pepper to taste. Serve and enjoy.
